Do you understand French jokes or French sense of humor? This session, we will analyze and discuss 7 French popular comedies selected by the class (L’Avare, Les Bronzés, La Chèvre, Le Dîner de cons, L’Emmerdeur, Les Ripoux, Intouchables, les Visiteurs, Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis, etc.) With a content-based approach, this course will allow you to experience language and culture from within, master related vocabulary and grammar points, and develop a deeper understanding of the French sense of humor (comique de caractère ou de personnage, de langage, de geste, de situation, de moeurs, farce, ironie, satire, burlesque...). You will feel more confident in your ability to use the language creatively, discuss issues and explore many other facets of the French and Francophone worlds. Don’t miss the show!

HYBRID CLASSES / CLASS MATERIALS / ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS

• We are offering HYBRID CLASSES for all classes/all sessions. HYBRID means you may take the same exact course IN-PERSON or ONLINE, your CHOICE! (10 students per class maximum) No need to notify us, you may show up in person or online (via Zoom), this is your decision for the 8-week session. We have equipped our classrooms to accommodate both in-person and remote participants. “La liberté, c’est de pouvoir choisir". 
•  If you would like to assess your LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION, we invite you to take our free online placement evaluations. (homepage on our website). Once the right level of instruction recommended & enrolled, you will be receiving class materials (lesson plans in pdf format) and Zoom instructions 24hours prior to your first class session.
